Tradycyjny trawler wykonany przez Anciens Chantiers Dubigeon (ACD) w Nantes, Volontaire (SM767), został zwodowany w lutym 1950 roku. Był uzbrojony przez Malo Trawler Association, a jego portem macierzystym było Saint-Malo w Bretanii. MARIE JEANNE był jej siostrzanym statkiem, którego portem macierzystym był CONCARNEAU. Bardzo nowoczesny jak na tamte czasy, wyposażony był w silnik wysokoprężny BW (Burmeister i Wain) o mocy 1100 koni mechanicznych. Pierwotnie przeznaczony do połowów z obu stron, został później zmodyfikowany w celu usunięcia szubienicy włoka z lewej burty. Wycofany ze służby na początku lat 70., został rozebrany w Bilbao w marcu 1973 r.
